今週末は、なんと東京から来てくれたアメリカ人彼氏さんと
京都に行ってきました🇺🇸🍃

実は小春、京都が日本で一番好きな場所なんです☺️💕

高校生の頃には電車に乗って一人旅をするくらい好きだったので、
お誘いをいただいたときは本当に嬉しかったです。

彼氏さんは、小春に一番最初にLINEをくれた方で、

会う前から毎日たくさんお話ししていたので、初めましてというよりやっと会えて嬉しいという気持ちでスタートしました。笑

最初に向かったのは京都御所！

(こういう雰囲気の中をのんびり歩く時間って、とっても幸せだよね❤️)

歩きながらいろいろ見ていたのですが、
彼氏さんは小春より日本の歴史や文化に詳しくてびっくり😳‼️

分からないことがあるとすぐに調べて知識を増やしていて、
これが賢い人なんだなぁと密かに勉強になりました。

小春はどちらかというと考えるより感じるタイプなので、少し見習いたいです😂

たくさん歩いたあとはコメダ珈琲へ☕️
時間に余裕があったので、ゆっくり休憩しながらたくさんお話ししました。

(小春はたまごサンド！彼氏さんはピザとソフトクリーム食べてたよ😋)

一番面白かったのは、小春の上着が「ピンク」なのか「ベージュ」なのかで
真剣に言い合いをしたこと😂

今でも小春はピンクだと思っています（笑）

そのあと清水寺へ！

行くはずだったのですが……

さっきまでずっと晴れていたのに、到着した瞬間まさかの大雨☔️

突然だったので避ける暇もなく、二人とも上から下までシャワーを浴びたみたいに
びしょ濡れになりました🤣

しかも事前に雨が降らないようにと、
てるてる坊主まで作っていたのに全然効かず

お互いびっくりしすぎて大爆笑😂

雨宿りをしながら話している時間まで楽しくて、
こういうハプニングも思い出だなと思いました。

雨が落ち着いてからは京都タワーへ🗼
京都の街を上から眺めながら、

京都ってやっぱり素敵だなぁと改めて感じました✨

そのあとは牛カツを食べに行って、一日の締めくくり！

(初めて食べる牛肉海苔？をつけて食べるのがすごく美味しかったの！！)

彼氏さんはメッセージでも実際に会ってみても
とても思慮深くて、言葉を選びながら丁寧に話してくれる方でした。

小春の話もしっかり聞いてくれて、分からないことがあっても適当に流さず、
きちんと向き合ってくれるところが素敵だなと思いました☁️

お別れのときはとても寂しかったですが、、、
彼氏さんがアメリカに帰ったあとも、小春と過ごした時間が、
日本旅行の素敵な思い出のひとつとして残っていたら嬉しいです☺️🇺🇸

This weekend, I went on a Kyoto date with my American boyfriend,
who came all the way from Tokyo 🇺🇸🍃

Kyoto is actually my favorite place in Japan ☺️💕

I love it so much that I even took a solo trip there by train
when I was in high school, so I was really happy when he invited me.

He was actually the very first person to message me on LINE.

We had talked every day before meeting,
so rather than feeling like it was our first time meeting,
I started the date feeling happy that we could finally see each other in person😂

Our first stop was the Kyoto Imperial Palace!

As we walked around and looked at everything,
I was surprised that he knew even more about Japanese history and culture than Koharu did 😳‼️

Whenever there was something he didn’t know,
he immediately looked it up and learned something new.

I thought, “So this is what intelligent people do.”

After walking around a lot, we went to Komeda Coffee ☕️

We had plenty of time, so we relaxed and talked about many different things.

The funniest moment was when we seriously argued about

whether my jacket was “pink” or “beige” 😂

I still thinks it was pink. Haha

After that, we were supposed to go to Kiyomizu-dera Temple!

However…

Even though it had been sunny the entire time,
it suddenly started pouring as soon as we arrived ☔️

It happened so quickly that we had no time to take cover,
and we both ended up completely soaked from head to toe,
as though we had taken a shower with our clothes on 🤣

I had even made a teru teru bozu beforehand,
hoping it wouldn’t rain, but it didn’t work at all.

We were both so surprised that we couldn’t stop laughing 😂

Even the time we spent sheltering from the rain and talking was fun,
and I thought that unexpected moments like this also become special memories.

Once the rain calmed down, we went to Kyoto Tower 🗼

As we looked out over the city from above,
I was reminded once again of how beautiful Kyoto is ✨

After that, we went to eat gyukatsu to finish the day!

Both through his messages and after meeting him in person,
I found him to be very thoughtful and careful with his words.

He listened closely to Koharu and never brushed things aside
when he didn’t understand something.

I thought it was wonderful how sincerely he tried to understand and engage with me ☁️

I felt very sad when it was time to say goodbye…

But even after he returns to America, I hope the time
he spent with Koharu will remain one of the special memories from his trip to Japan ☺️🇺🇸
